The Brady Bulldog JV gave the Fredericksburg team all they wanted before losing, 21-14, here last Thursday evening. “They made the big plays when they needed to,” Brady coach Larry Hoelscher said. The Billies scored in the first quarter, and kicked the extra point to go up 7-0. Brady’s Andy Williams ran for a two-yard TD in the second period, and David Hernandez ran for the two points to make it 8-7 at halftime. Fredericksburg scored twice in the fourth quarter while the Bulldogs tallied with an 84-yard pass play when QB Chaney McBee passed to Crockett Jurris. Isaac Conrad was the leading rusher for Brady with 6 carries for 62 yards. Jurrius hauled in 2 passes that totaled 96 yards. Jurrius also had an interception. In first downs, it was Brady 11, and Fredericksburg 14. Brady was 28 for 129 rushing while the Billies wee 35 for 177. It was 3 of 9 for 109 in passing and 3 of 12 for 57 for Fredericksburg. The Bulldogs will be at Ozona Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. game.
