J. P. Murray has authorized the Brady Standard- Herald to announce his candidacy for Pct. 3 Commissioner. “My name is James (J.P.) Murray Jr. and I have resided in McCulloch County since 1997 with my wife, Loretta and daughter, Sierra. I have been employed with McCulloch County for five years as a road hand.” Murray spent nine months with Precinct 1 before transferring to Precinct 4 where he is currently employed. “My duties are not only taking care of the roads but also performing the maintenance on the equipment along with the mechanic work that I can do to help save the county money. I have been running heavy equipment for several years working for Sauer Construction in Bulverde, Keller Construction in Fredericksburg and Munsell Construction in Mason.” Along with running dozers on ranches he worked on clearing brush and building tanks. “I believe that it is necessary to a good working relationship with the citizens of Precinct 3, along with its employees. It is also important to work with other governmental entities in and around McCulloch County. I know I can make a difference with the road maintenance in Precinct 3.” “My father has instilled in me hard work and taking pride in the job you do along with respect.” In addition, Murray has served as the bull riding director of the Texas Senior Pro Rodeo Association (TSPRA) for three years and currently serving on the McCUlloch County Junior Livestock Association and the Rochelle Volunteer Fire Department.
