The Lohn Eagles traveled to Eden Friday night, Jan. 18, for a District 29-A game with the Bulldogs winning 65-53. “We played the best team we have played all year,” said coach Leon Freeman. “We were intimidated by Eden’s height in the early going and they jumped on us hard in the first quarter and we ended it with Eden leading 20-9,” added Freeman. “The Eagles were able to close within six points during the second half, but Eden went on to cushion their lead back to a comfortable margin. Eden’s huge rebounding advantage during the game, especially on their offensive end, prevented the Eagles from being able to mount a sustained run at the Bulldog lead.” Lohn now stands at 1-3 in District play. Scoring for the Eagles were Josh Fore 20, Josh Aguilar 9, Lee Williams 5, Joey Lawrence 8 and Charles Bowen 11.
