Bulldogs cruise to victory, 55-40

The Brady Bulldogs got their second straight district win in Blanco last Tuesday night with a relatively easy 55-40 victory. The Dogs are now 2-0 in district and 16-5 overall. “We played much more inspired and with much more intensity this time,” Brady coach Gary Jones said. The Bulldogs jumped off to a 13-4 first quarter lead, and were on top 31-17 at intermission. The second half was just a cruise as the team coasted. Three Bulldogs scored in double figures: Tyler Campbell led with 13 points, followed by Zach Jones (who was coming off a sprained ankle injury) 10, and Jon Langseth 10. Other Brady scorers were Mackenzie Hirt 7, Brantley King 7, Larat Lawrence 6 and Prennis Williams 2. “We feel very good about having two road games and getting off to a 2-0 start. It is very important that we maintain focus and prepare to play each game one at a time,” the coach said. Brady will host Sonora Friday (tonight). Game time is 8 p.m. Score by quarters: Brady 13 18 13 11’55 Blanco 4 13 7 16’40
