Brady’s Bulldogs got one back Monday night when they rallied to nip the Yellowjackets at Llano, 47-45. The Dogs have let several opponents in recent games beat them. “It’s always good to go on the road and get a win,” Brady varsity basketball coach Gary Jones said. He said that his players are not shooting the ball very well, “but they are finding ways to stay in the game and have a chance to get the victory at the end. That is important.” Brady is 14-5 on the season as the team enters district play Friday (tonight) at Mason. Against Llano, Tyler Campbell and Jon Langseth led the way in scoring with each making 12 points. The Doggies took an early (11-7) lead after the first quarter, but the Yellowjackets outscored them in the second period to take a one-point lead at intermission, 22-21. Llano jumped to an eight-point lead in the third quarter and it was 40-32 entering the fourth quarter. Brady overcame that deficit by scoring 15 points to Llano’s five points to win by two. Other Brady scorers were Brantley King 7, Larat Lawrence 4, Cody Melcer 4, Mackenzie Hirt 3, Ruben Resendez 3, and Zach Jones 2.
