Lady Dawgs go 1-2 at Goldthwaite

The Brady Lady Bulldogs lost a tough late-game charge to the visiting Coleman Bluecats last Tuesday night before heading to Goldthwaite for a three-game stint in the Eagle Tournament. Against Coleman, the Lady Dawgs led going into the final minute of the game but couldn’t hold off the late game surge by the visitors as it came down to the wire. “The girls lost a tough game Tuesday night,” said coach Matt Odom. “The fourth quarter continues to hurt us. This is the second game in a row to lead at the half and the end of the third and we still get beat. When we figure out how to finish a game, we’ll be okay.” Later in the week, the Lady Bulldogs took part in the Goldthwaite Tournament and had their hands full in the first two rounds. When they took on San Saba in their first match up, the Lady Armadillos dominated the contest from the get-go and handed Brady a 71-35 loss. Michelle Owens led the scoring for Brady with 12. Other scorers included Talisha Hendley 1, Red Patterson 5, Meme Patterson 2, Adrianna Villarreal 4, Kayla Land 2, Kristin Rice 5 and Prenessia Williams 4.
