Beginning Monday, Dec. 10 and continuing through the middle of January, the City of Brady, in a cooperative program with the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) will be utilizing McCoy Tree Surgery to prune trees near electric power lines. Trees and power lines don’t mix’trees growing too close to electric lines can cause damage or interrupt service to you or your neighbors and proper clearances must be maintained to assure safety and to help avoid power outages. McCoy Tree Surgery specializes in vegetation management for the electric utility industry. All trimming performed by the company conforms with recommendations of the world’s leading tree expert, Dr. Alex L. Shigo, former chief scientist and pioneering project leader for the U.S. Forest Service.
