Brady vs. Center Point JV Score by quarter: Brady 6 2 12 15’35 C. Point JV 13 16 12 5’46 Scoring for Brady: McBee 9, Hernandez 8, Meador 8, Bean 4, Jurrius 4, Muniz 2. “Center Point just came out strong in the first half and we could not handle it,” said the coach. “We were missing rebounds, lay-ups, free throws’you name it and were not getting it. “After some halftime adjustments, we came out the second half and gave Center Point a run for their money. Everything that was holding us back seemed to go away as we played well the second half. We held them to five points to our 15 in the fourth quarter, but we couldn’t pull ahead. “I’m just real proud of how our boys rose to the challenge when it was presented to them, but unfortunately it was too little too late. This weekend we started to realize our potential, but we still have some fundamentals that we will need to work on in the coming week.” Tuesday night on their home court, the young Bulldogs hosted Coleman and got back on track with a solid 54-33 win. “After coming off of a three game losing streak, we were needing this game badly to gain some momentum going into the Lohn tournament this week,” said coach Pilgrim. “We started the game off strong in the first quarter and didn’t let up until the last second ticked off the clock. Everybody was going to the board and getting rebounds and making their lay ups. I’m real proud of how our boys pulled together as a team and won their first game. Our next tournament is in Lohn starting Thursday and we hope to have some more good competition.
