Saturday the Ol’ Houn’ Dawgs athletic booster club is encouraging all Bulldog fans to attend the send-off at Brady High School. The team will be leaving between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m. and organizers are asking all Bulldog supporters to not only attend the send-off but to line South China Street from 11th to Hwy. 87 and even out Highway 87 towards Abilene, to help send off the team. ‘ As the team passes by, we encourage the Bulldog fans to get in their cars and follow the team to Sweetwater,’ a spokesman said. The OHD Booster Club will host an ‘old- fashioned tailgate party’ Saturday afternoon at the stadium in Sweetwater before the football game. Fans, parents, students, staff and alumni are all invited to join in food, fun and excitement as we prepare for the playoff game. There will be food, drinks, music and games available from 3 to 6 p.m. There is no charge, however, donations will be accepted to help offset the expenses of the charter buses for the football team and students. Pre-game warm-up starts around 6:30 p.m. All who support the Bulldogs are also encouraged to join in the victory line at the north end of the stadium alongside the stairs that lead to the playing field, as no one will be allowed on the field prior to the game. The victory line encourages the players, coaches, trainers and cheerleaders as they enter the field at game time. Anyone who would like to bring a dessert such as cookies or brownies is certainly welcomed to do so.
