Norma Mooring Williams, 85, formerly of Brady, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in San Angelo. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 29 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels with Rev. Don Ziriax officiating. Burial followed at Rochelle Cemetery. She was born, May 31, 1922, in Coleman, to Norman Edward and Ollie Mae (Flowers) Weaver. She married Tom Mooring Dec. 8, 1945, in Rochelle and he preceded her in death after 41 years of marriage. She married Alvin Williams Aug. 25, 1990, in Brady. She resided in this area until 2002. She was a waitress and owned Tom’s Bar-B-Q with her husband and also worked at Club Cafe. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Brady. She is survived by two daughters, Lois Archer and husband, James, of Sonora and Sharon Lowells of San Angelo; a brother, Marlin King and wife, Barbara, of Brownwood; a sister, Annie Mae Bush and husband, Sam, of Brownwood; four grandchildren, Kathy Arista of Christoval, Gary Maricle of Sterling City, James Lowells of Lohn and Brent Archer of Canadian and four great- grandchildren, Thomas Maricle, Erika Arista, Chance Lowells and Karri Maricle. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a brother and two sisters. Pallbearers were Jorge Velarde, Don Leatherwood, Jim Hurt, Danny Durham, Harold Johnson and Doug Archer. Honorary Pallbearers were Eddie Martinez and David Leatherwood.
