Cleo Carman Locklear, 85, of Brady, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in Brady. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 8 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapel in Brady with Rev. Randall Larr officiating. Burial followed at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. She was born Dec. 19, 1921 in Brady to J.W. and Pearl (Starnater) Jackson. She married James Locklear Dec. 26, 1946 in Brady. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a homemaker. She loved to write songs, collect dolls and was a member of First Baptist Church in Brady. She is survived by her husband, James of Brady; two sons, Dae Locklear and wife, Stephanie, of Benbrook and Jim Locklear of Brady; two daughters, Jamie Campbell and husband, Jerry, of Marana, Ark., Cindy Dennis and husband, Jerry, of Brady; 12 grandchildren, Olen Tally, Ashleigh Locklear, Autumn Locklear, Ashleigh Cook, Michael Cook, Derek Locklear, Casey King, Stephanie Maher, Crystal Theisen, Vanna Booth, Daryl Booth and Baylee Brown and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Angelo.
