Martha Stewart Bryson, 91, of Brady, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, in Brady. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Ash officiating. Burial followed at East Sweden Cemetery. She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Knobbs, to Benjamin Thomas and Minnie Viola (Byrd) Stewart. She married Virgil C. Bryson Oct. 31, 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Coleman Bryson; a son, Dennis Bryson of Justin; a daughter, Alene Bryson Meyers of Fayettville, Ark.; two grandsons, Derek Bryson and Daniel Bryson; seven nephews, Edward Doyle Stewart, Gilford Ray Harrison, Jarvis Stewart, Billy Newell Hanson, Forest David Hanson, Charles Leo Hanson and Joe Curtis Cole; eight nieces, Joyce Stewart Roper, Jonell Stewart Barber, Dorothy Stewart Brooks, Anita Mozelle Hanson Ishee, Barbara Jean Stewart Chatham, Mary Frances Cole Goble, Linda Carol Stewart Southerland and Judith Ann Stewart Jennings; a brother, Raymond Stewart and wife, Marie, of Temple and a sister, Ethel Cole of Brady. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Fred Wilson; brothers, Hubert Stewart, Tom Stewart and J.D. (Jake) Stewart; sisters, Sallie Harrison, Rozzie Stewart and Hazel Hanson and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Craig Hanson, Kevin Hanson, Tod Hanson, Cade Hanson, Curt Cole, Ronnie Stewart and Kenneth Jennings.
