Coach Glen Jones expects a physical, hard-fought game Friday (tonight) at Bulldog Stadium when the Llano Yellowjackets come to town. “They are a good team, and they execute well, like Coleman,” he said. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 3-1 record. They have defeated Marble Falls, Comanche and Taylor. Their only loss was to 2A Lexington. Llano is a member of District 24-3A with Bandera, Wimberley and Ingram. Llano’s coach is David Yeager, and his backfield includes FB Ty Thurman, RB Lance Dickey and QB Trey Brooks. “They run the slot-T, which is similar to our wing- T, and they are like a machine,” Jones said. He said the Jackets don’t throw much, only when they need to, and when they do, they do it well,” he said. The Bulldogs, fresh off a big win over Ingram Tom Moore, have won two games in a row, after two losses to start the season. Jones was very proud of his team’s performance last week against the Warriors with one exception: too many penalties. Through four games this season, the Bulldogs have committed 33 penalties for 360 yards. The two old rivals will meet at Bulldog Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
