Thelma McCarn, 88, of Kenedy, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 in Corpus Christi. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 24 at Eckols Funeral Home Chapel in Kenedy with Bob Eads officiating. Burial followed at Pawnee Cemetery in Pawnee. She was born Jan. 17, 1919 in Yoakum to Joseph and Eloise (Long) Sciba. She was married to Fred McCarn March 23, 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of Pawnee Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Steve McCarn and wife, Cindy, of Brady and Neal McCarn and wife, Barbie, of Mathis; a daughter, Sharon Dixon of Longview; four sisters, Ruth Marshall of George West, Maxine Pardee of Cilbo, Virginia Blake of Elephant Butte, N.M. and Mattie Eloise Johnson of Dilley; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, a brother and four sisters. Pallbearers were Wes McCarn, Bill McCarn, Greg McCarn, Chris McCarn, Jeff McCarn and Clay Jostes.
