Emmit Franklan Waskom, Sr., 82, of Victoria, formerly of Brady, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 in Victoria. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 24 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip (Pat) Courtney officiating. Burial followed at Camp San Saba Cemetery. He was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Vallonia, Ind., to Eithel and Florence (Jarvis) Waskom. He was married to Bonnie J. Morgan July 15, 1943. He was a welder, a minister and a member of Weslyan Bible Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Waskom; two sons, Curtis Elton Waskom of Victoria and David Jonathan Waskom of Joshua; three daughters, Sally Ann Willett of Lorena, Brenda Gayle of Joshua and Joyce Faye of Slidell; 22 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren; a brother Eithel Waskom, Jr. and a sister, Lorena. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, two sons, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
