9/11 memorial procession set for Tuesday

Brady firefighter J.D. Ruby has taken on the task this year of organizing a silent procession to commemorate and honor the lives of those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, Brady firefighters will lead a procession of emergency vehicles comprised of members of all interested McCulloch County public servant agencies. “We will begin the silent procession from the fire station at 6 p.m. and proceed down South Bridge St. to the Wal-Mart parking lot where we will circle back and end up at the courthouse square,” said Ruby. “We encourage everyone to line the streets and show pride in our country for the sacrifice that was made. “We will be running with lights on but no sirens as a visible sign of respect in honor of those who lost their lives on that terrible day.”
