Norman Chew, 77, of Brady, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in San Angelo. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Blake O’Dell officiating. Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery. He was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Llano County, to Leon and Flora Belle (Dennis) Chew. On Oct. 1, 1953, he married Frieda Barsch in Lohn. He was an automotive consultant and enjoyed working with automobiles, his land and playing the keyboard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Frieda, of Brady; a brother, Tom Chew and wife, Beth, of Mason; two sisters, Alma Wainscott of Brady and Naomi Brown of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were Bernie Wainscott, Ronnie Chew, Jay Brown, Jimmy Anderson, Craig Chew and Richard Polk. Honorary pallbearers were Courtney Williams, Raymond Rubio, Glenn Tribble, Lorenzo Rubio and Dean Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 3001 South Jackson, San Angelo, Texas 76904.
