Guadalupe Aguirre, 54, of Brownwood, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, in Austin. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 17, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady, under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels with Father George Thirumangalam officiating. Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery. She was born Sept. 2, 1952, in Brady, to Timoteo Ruiz, Sr. and Arcilia (Estrada) Ruiz. She was a homemaker and worked as a custodian for Brownwood ISD. She was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood and enjoyed music, dancing and playing bingo. She is survived by her parents, Timoteo and Arcilia Ruiz of Brady; former spouse, Samuel Aguirre of Stephenville; a son, Samuel Eric Aguirre of Round Rock; two daughters, Elaina Aguirre and Marcella Aguirre of Round Rock; five brothers, Oscar Ruiz of Brady, Mario Ruiz, John Ruiz and Lee Ruiz, all of Hutto and Gabriel Ruiz and wife, Maria, of Pflugerville; and six sisters, Arsilia Ruiz of Austin, Olivea Ruiz of Dallas, Becky Ruiz of Hutto, Sally Marler and husband, Kenny, of Round Rock, Sara Magallanes and husband, Felix, of Huntsville and Melissa Ruiz of Round Rock. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Guadalupe Angel Aguirre, Anthony Aguirre, Gabriella Aguirre, Cassandra Aguirre, Yzabel Aguirre, Mackenzie Aguirre, Malaiya Aguirre and Xavier Aguirre. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Timoteo (Chico) Ruiz, Jr. and Gabriel Ruiz; a sister, Teresa Ruiz, and a nephew, Timoteo Ruiz III.
