Raymond Harm Ashabranner, 72, of Brady, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Brady. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, at 10 a.m. in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapels. Rev. Richard Evans and Charles Stokes will officiate. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery in Llano County at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, from 6- 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. He was born September 12, 1934, in Burnet County to John Nelson and Myrtle Violet (Daughtery) Ashabranner. He married Frances Goff on Dec. 26, 1984, in Brady. He was a truck driver and a member of Christian Community Church. He loved fishing, telling stories and jokes and was a shade tree mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Frances Ashabranner of Brady; four sons, Raymond Dale Ashabranner and wife, Stacey, of Marble Falls, Roger Jay Ashabranner and wife, Michelle, of Llano, Harold Clint Low and wife, Jerri, of Mason and Billy Douglas Ashabranner, of Llano; three daughters, Patricia Louise Conner and husband, Jon, of Austin, Donna Kay Crawford and husband, James, of Brownwood and Joyce Ivera Stewart, and husband, Nathan, of Lubbock; Three brothers, Rayburn Ashabranner of Ceder Hill, Sam Ashabranner of Segoville and Jack Ashabranner of Round Rock; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Clarice (Rogers) Ashabranner, one sister and two brothers. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
