Helen Lee Rose, 86, of New Braunfels, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, in New Braunfels, where she has been living near her family. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. She was born March 1, 1921, in Campbell. She was a long-time resident of San Angelo and active in the Main Street Church of Christ. She and her late husband also resided in Brady for many years. The wife of George C. Rose for 65 years, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was dedicated to her husband, home and family. Survivors include two children, Mary Rose-Lian and husband. Sean, of New Braunfels, and George Rose and wife, Janice, of Kerrville; four grandchildren, George T. Rose and wife, Mimi, of Rockport, Randy Rose and wife. Ivalu, of Houston, Paul Buck and wife, Jennifer, also of Houston, Jill Hunter and husband, Doak, of Blanco; six great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Rose, Jake Rose, Natalie Buck, Zach Buck, Helen Hunter and Brady Hunter; and a sister, Billy Jo Reed of Baton Rouge, La. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezzie and Eudora Walker; her husband, George C. Rose; a brother, Hezzie Walker; and a sister, Margaret Krafka.
