Linda Bratton, program technician with the McCulloch County Farm Service Agency (FSA) retired in May after 23 years of service. A reception was held in her honor at the county FSA office May 24. Many of the McCulloch County farmers and ranchers who Mrs. Bratton worked with during her years with the agency, along with friends from around the area, and her husband, Jerry, and daughters, Sonora Johnson and Stacy Evans and her husband, Robert Evans, Jr., were in attendance, as well as her two brothers, Donald Fleming of Brady and Charles Fleming of San Angelo. Many FSA employees and retirees from surrounding counties also attended the reception to wish her a happy retirement. ‘Linda has been a very dedicated and loyal employee of the Farm Service Agency and cared tremendously about her job, providing USDA program benefits to the producers who derive their living from farming and ranching in this county,” said Boby Schmidt, local FSA county executive director. “We will miss her knowledge and expertise in the FSA Office staff, but congratulate Linda on achieving this goal in her career and wish her a very happy retirement. Mrs. Bratton plans to enjoy retirement as she continues a ranching operation in the Voca area with her husband. “We wish Linda all the best for the fun years to come,” added Schmidt.
