Megan Sides is a second grader on a mission. She has told people that she is too little to do big things to help everyone, but that she can do one small thing to help one child. Megan has donated her long curly hair to ‘Locks of Love’ for the second time. As a kindergartner, and now as a second grader, Megan is not shy about encouraging people to share their hair with children suffering from hair loss due to medical conditions. When she cut her hair the first time, Megan immediately decided to grow it out again’this time along with her mother, Kristi. On Tuesday, May 22, they both got a trim. “Megan is excited to be sending 12 inches, while I’m sending 10 inches to this non-profit organization,” Mrs. Sides said. “One look at the beautiful faces of the children who are recipients of these hairpieces is enough to melt your heart.” For more information about the program, log on to www.locks-oflove.org.
