The Brady Rotary club met Tuesday, May 15, at noon at the Heart of Texas Depot Restaurant with President Connie Locklear presiding. Clay Jones informed the members of the open house that the Commercial National Bank is having this coming Saturday. Also, Tim Jones has been nominated to be Rotary President in 2008-09. It was announced that exchange student, Mau, took second place in the 65 mile run. We also were informed that hew ill be leaving the Brady Rotary Club in July of this year. Program chairman Bill Mann introduced Bryan Raschke, area supervisor with the Texas Highway Department, and Kyle Moseley, local supervisor. Bryan gave a brief resume of the work on highway 87 South. He commented the Reece-Albert is dong good work. The next project will 87 West for cubs and gutters. Kyle Moseley told there are 14 workers in the Brady unit and we see about 10,800 cars a day. Kyle also told of the vandalism that is ongoing on highway signs in the state. Signs are stolen and damaged. Stolen stop signs are the cause of many auto accidents. The information from Raschke and Moseley should be helpful to all. The $2 bill was won by Jim ricks for knowing that 1, 16 and 453 grams all refer to one pound.
