Wilburn Lee Shaffer, 81, of Brady, died Monday, April 30, 2007, in Brady. Graveside services, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Homes, were held Wednesday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery with Charles Hallford officiating. Born July 19, 1925, in Lamkin to Lewis Bill and Sarah Lela (Talley) Shaffer, he was a truck driver, a World War II veteran and a member of the VFW. He was a member of Brady Gospel Church. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Sirmons and husband, Ray, of Brownfield and Nelda Breazeale and husband, Alan, of Lubbock; two sisters, Lizmae Early of Crane and Glenda Kemmitz of Brady; a step-son, Jimmy Burk and wife, Debra, of Amarillo; three step-daughters, Rita Clark and husband, Frank, of Melvin, Kathy Cook of Newark and Mary Talley of San Antonio; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous step- grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lucille Scott; and a son, Randal Lee Shaffer.
