Sue Lohn, 93

Sue Elizabeth Lohn, 93, of Brady and formerly of Lohn, died Friday, April 20, 2007, in Brady. Graveside services, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Homes, were held Monday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at the Lohn Family Cemetery with Rev. Don Sessom officiating. Born Jan. 29, 1914, in Mt. Joy to David Cleburne and Mary Rebah Mae (DeWitt) Edwards, she was the oldest of 13 children. She married William Edward (Beekie) Lohn, Jr., on Dec. 10, 1939, in Lohn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist churches in Lohn, Brady and Kerrville. She served on the McCulloch County Library Board for many years and helped organize the Heart of Texas Hospital Auxiliary where she served on the board of directors. She spent many years associated with two Brady newspapers and retired after 15 years as a secretary with Carrithers Insurance Agency. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 167. Survivors include three children, William Edward (Ed) Lohn, III of Brownwood, Jerrilyn Lohn Ray and husband, Bill, of Kerrville, and David Lanier Lohn and wife, Gail, of Brady; eight grandchildren, William Edward (Bill) Lohn, IV, and wife, Jackie, of Brady, Gregory Carl (Greg) Lohn and wife, Becky, of Rochelle, Aurelio Muniz and wife, Maria, of Kerrville, Elizabeth Ray Mansour of Austin, Tracy Sessom Coker and husband, Robert, of New Braunfels, Charles Boyd Ray and wife, Sylvia, of Nederland, Colo., Lee Ann Ray Grubbs and husband, John, of Midland and Heather Lohn Linville and husband, Jeff, of Schertz; 16 great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Rachael Kathleen Saludis of Kerrville and Jo Nell Rook and husband, Olas, of Downey, Calif.
