Park receives high marks from Livingston family

To the City and citizens of Brady, Chamber of Commerce and the City Parks Department: We would like to let you know how much we appreciate and enjoyed your city park with R.V. hookups. Some weeks ago my wife and I were passing through Brady as we have for many years; but seldom ever did we stop, nor shop there. In the past, our origination point and destination were out of sequence with a stop in Brady. However, on this trip and towing our R.V. I was feeling very tired, and wanted to stop some place for a short nap. As we were traveling west, my wife remembered having seen your Richards Park sign on previous trips, so we pulled into the park area. What a nice park. Huge oaks, well groomed grounds, with restroom/ shower facilities. We saw the perfect spot under a tall oak, but with some low hanging limbs. Our fifth wheel unit is 12 ft.-4 in. high, so we had to maneuver to miss limbs, but once parked, the spot was perfect as well as beautiful. My one- hour nap turned into a two-day stay. The fee is very reasonable, and we were extremely pleased with your city and park. We felt quite at home shopping, eating at local restaurants and just browsing the town. Brady is a most pleasant place with an interesting history to explore and is filled with terrific folks. Our oldest son, a lieutenant with the DPS in Midland, frequently travels through Brady to-and-from Austin. We called his cell phone, and much to our surprise, he was only one hour behind us. We had a great reunion evening with him there, a rare opportunity for us. He was as impressed as we are with Richards Park. Thank you for the wonderful park that your citizens and city provide and sponsor. We intend to make many more visits to your town and park. Respectfully, Harold and Sylvia Dickson Livingston, Tex.
