The staff at Brady West Rehabilitation & Nursing Center recently announced four new employees who help make up the staff of the local business. Tobi Carthel RN, BSN; Jan Stelzer RN,C; Bradley Bell, PTA, RD and Jeannette Towle, food service supervisor, all have new positions within the business. Stelzer is the new director of nursing for the facility. With 20 years of nursing experience, she also has a geriatric certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center of Gerontology. Carthel is a registered nurse and is also a registered massage therapist. She is the new assistant director of nursing for the facility. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington and received her bachelor of science in nursing. She was previously employed by Arlington Memorial Hospital as a surgical nurse and also as a nurse at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Bell, the grandson of the late Ralph and Lela Brock, has been practicing physical therapy since 1995. A graduate of Austin Community College, he opened Bell Therapy, Inc. in 1997 in Austin, and after nine years of operation, sold the business to pursue other endeavors. He will serve as the new rehabilitation director for the Brady facility. Towle is currently pursuing her certification as food service supervisor at Brady West. A resident of Brady for 14 years, she is the mother of three children and the granddaughter of longtime Brady residents, Charlie and Mattie Powell.
