ROCHELLE STUDY CLUB’ Members of the Rochelle Study Club met March 5 at the Tootsie Mitchell Cafeteria to finalize plans for the rummage sale to be held March 16 and 17 at the Rochelle Community Center. Hours for the sale are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Organizers told members that this may be one of the largest sales ever. In addition to “this ‘n’ that” items, baked goods will also be available for purchase. Plans are also underway for the heritage luncheon which will be held Saturday, April 14 at the community center. At the conclusion of the meeting, members were treated to a dress rehearsal presentation of the Rochelle High School One-Act Play, “Up the Down Staircase,” directed by Ann Moseley. Following the play, hostesses, Gloria Barr and Eloise Ficke, served refreshments to the students and club members, Dolores Barton, Jane Bohls, Sarita Cox, Margaret Draycott, Valire Engdahl, Betty Knutson, Vonnie McCain, Betty Jo Meyer, Sara Myers, Marilyn Powell, Elizabeth Posey, Kay Porter, Myrna Powell, Gwen Ragsdale, Glenda Ranne, Linda Roessler and Marilyn Waller.
