Program on Loadcraft presented

The Brady Rotary club met March 6, at 12 noon at the Heart of Texas Depot Restaurant. Rotarian Susan Delk had two guests: husband Kevin and two month old daughter Haleigh. Two student Rotarians were present for their second visit. Matthew Griffith who plans to attend Texas State Business College and Brady Young who plans to attend Abilene Christian University. They each received a framed copy of the four-way test. Foreign exchange student Mau was present. He recently participated in a high school track meet in Harper and placed in the one- mile and two mile races. President Connie Locklear reminded members that the Rotarians and their spouses are invited to a San Saba meeting, Thursday, March 8 at 7 p.m. President Connie Locklear also won the gift-of-the- month for knowing that Roy Rogers’ dog was named “Bullet.” Program chairman, Jeanagayle Behrens introduced Terry McIver, president of Loadcraft. He was accompanied by his son Reece, and Rodney Behrens of Loadcraft. Terry told us that they had been in operation here since 1971. They have a great workforce of 350 employees and they build workforce trailers. They believe their greatest asset is the people of Brady. He also said there is a building group in Brownwood and told the Rotary club that he really appreciated being a part of this community. Program chairman for March 13 is Dayton Boren.
