Janis Marie Strahan, 59, of Brady, formerly of Andrews, died Friday, March 2, 2007, in Brady. Services were held Monday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, Bro. Virgil Webb officiating, Max Gordon assisting. Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home. She was born July 31, 1947, in Levelland, to Wayne and Mary Frances (Ivy) Caraway. She married John D. Strahan on Sept. 6, 1969. She was an accounts payable clerk in the oil field industry and a member of the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Robbie Strahan and wife, Ruby, of Midland and Kevin Lynn Strahan and wife, Lori, of Bowie; her parents, Wayne and Mary Frances Caraway of Brady; two brothers, Jerry Caraway and wife, Ranon, of Brady, Kenny Caraway and wife, Betty, of Canyon Creek; a sister, Gloria Bailey and husband, Hayden, of Ennis; a granddaughter, Emma Marie Strahan of Bowie; four step-grandchildren, Angela Cardwell, Juan Rodriguez, Danny Rodriguez, Nora Rodriguez and several step-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tony Wade, Bryan Wade, Michael McNeil, Alton Roberts, Jim Rooney and Jimmy Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Don Thompson, Carroll Thomas and Jimmy Parker.
