Edwards, Brock exchange wedding vows in Stephenville

Courtney Jean Edwards of Stephenville and John Christopher Brock of Spearman were united in marriage in a formal double-ring ceremony on Dec. 30, 2006 at 5 p.m. at the Graham Street Church of Christ in Stephenville. The bride is the daughter of Randall and Kay Ann Edwards of Stephenville. She is the granddaughter of K.Y. and Peggy Owens of Brady. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and is currently employed with Abilene ISD as a junior high math teacher. The groom is the son of Kim and Stephanie Brock of Spearman. He will receive his bachelor’s degree in finance from Abilene Christian University in May. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an elegant white satin strapless A-line dress with a corset bodice. The gown and train were beaded with pearls and iridescent sequins. The bride wore an elbow length veil accented with a crystal comb and carried a bouquet of red roses. The maid of honor was Amy Kay Edwards, sister of the bride, from Stephenville. The bridesmaids were Janna Brock, sister of the groom, Angie Coomes, Ann Hastings, Camille Ip and Kady Culwell. They wore black satin floor-length gowns and carried hand tied white rose bouquets. The flower girl was Jade Wilson of Stephenville and she wore a matching white gown. The ring bearer was Reid Harrell of Spearmen. The best men were Jeff and Jordan Brock, brothers of the groom. The groomsmen were Lance Baker, Andy Hall, Chase Fishback and Eric Edwards, brother of the bride. Ushers were Caleb Stone and Brady Herbert. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the Graham Street Church of Christ family life center. The rehearsal dinner was hosted the previous evening by the groom’s family at Legend Country Club. Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, Mr. and Mrs. Brock will reside in Abilene.
