Thelma L. Mullins, 78, of Kirbyville, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at the Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. She was born April 12, 1928, in Conroe to Allen and Lelia Lessing. She retired from Dupont Sabine Riverworks with 40 years of service. She taught Sunday School at the Central Baptist Church. A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, V.R. (Red) Mullins; a son, Richard Mullins and wife, Lynn, of Orange; four grandchildren, Glenn and Tyler Van Dyke of Brady and Jeremy and Aaron Mullins of Orange; a sister, Edith Todd and husband, J.D. of Livingston. She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Mullins and a daughter, Tami Van Dyke.
