Hello from everyone at Brady West Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. In February we have been enjoying our new floors and nurses station. We had a mess for a while, but it was well worth the wait. Everything looks bigger and brighter. We want to thank all of our volunteers, the churches and their members who come visit. The residents have been enjoying all the visits and goodies from the home school kids and the homemade pies from the ladies of the First United Methodist Church. We have a great band that comes weekly and provides uplifting music for the residents. They are Wimpy Short, Elaine and Jerry Kruse and Calvin Mitchell. Carolyn Clark, Eva Tittle and Tommy and Barbara Steele come and do karaoke for our birthday parties. Tommy Bishop and his gang come with some great music and play for our birthday parties also. We have art time with Jackie Maxcey. LaMonte Wells comes weekly and sings and plays the piano for us and Steve Teague helps out by calling bingo. If we have inadvertently left anyone out, please forgive us. All of your help is greatly appreciated. This month we voted for our King and Queen resident and staff. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Anderson are our resident King and Queen and Martin Trevino and Teresa Browning are the staff King and Queen. Elaine Nandin won a prize for guessing how many hearts were in the jar. The Susanan Wesley Circle made homemade pies, and they were delicious. Jo Keese, Lil Johnson, Dorothy Mann, Eileen Adams, Shelly Perkins, Ila Mitchell, Gwen Ragsdale, LaVern Huffman and Peggy Smith are excellent cooks. We appreciate the time they put in making those delicious pies. Thanks to A-1 Bowkay and Steffens Flowers for donating flowers for residents birthdays. We look forward to seeing you here soon for a visit!
