Keeping communities safe is something both Brady and McCulloch County law enforcement and safety organizations focus on every day. Now their safety-first efforts are getting a boost from the Brady Wal-Mart store. Local Wal-Mart associates announced recently that a $1,500 grant was awarded to their “safe neighborhood hero” the Lohn Volunteer Fire Department. The money will be used to help fund projects or purchase needed items such as equipment for the fire truck and supplies for the department. “These organizations are our neighborhood heroes because of their tireless commitment to keep all of us safe,” said Wal-Mart store manager Martin Rayo. “Throughout the Wal-Mart Good Works community involvement program, the store is able to make this special grant and many others throughout the year that benefit the local community.” Rayo is pictured above with Lohn volunteer fireman Bobby Pearce (left)
