Faye J. McNatt, 82, of Brady, died Sunday, Oct. 12, in San Angelo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 10:30 a.m. in Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Rev. Blake O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the Rochelle Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry McCarroll, Charles Hilliard, Gabe McNatt, Adam McNatt, Ben Bratton and Jeremy Joiner. Born June 15, 1921, in Lohn, she was the daughter of Charles Isaac Hilliard and Fannie Grace (Newton) Hilliard. She married William V. McNatt on Jan. 12, 1946. She was a licensed vocational nurse at the old Brady Hospital and devoted 20 years of service to the Brady Doctor’s Clinic. As a lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of First Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. Possessing a “green thumb,” she loved African violets, roses and orchids and enjoyed bird watching as a hobby. Survivors include two sons, Bill McNatt of Brady and Danny McNatt; a daughter, Darlene Bratton and husband, Brad, of San Angelo; a brother-in-law, Garland McCarroll of Plano; five grandchildren, Ivye Joiner and husband, Jeremy, of San Angelo, Gabe McNatt of College Station, Adam McNatt of Houston and Ben Bratton and Katie Bratton, both of San Angelo. Other survivors include special neighbors, Raymond and Frances Ashabranner and Duwaine and Velma Hendley, all of Brady. She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; five brothers, Ancel, Garland, Cyril, Roy and Dobber; and two sisters, Lena Hilliard and Neva McCarroll.
