The Lohn Eagles held on for a 47-42 win over the Cherokee Indians Friday night to open their 2003 district play. The Eagles had 172 yards passing and 220 yards rushing. “It was a great game Friday,” said Lohn coach Todd Lawdermilk. “The game could have gone either way. We still have work to do to get ready for Lometa, but I am happy with the way we are working together to accomplish our goals. Friday will be another big test for us.” The Eagles were led on the field by Riley McFarland who passed for 172 yards and ran for 91; Jason Bloomer who ran for 95 yards; and Chance Anderson who caught three passes for 65 yards.
