Brady JV hammers Llano 8th, 22-0; be back in action Oct. 9

Brady’s JV Bulldogs shutout the Llano JV at Llano last Saturday in their final non-district football game, 22-0. After a scoreless first half, the Dogs scored twice in the third quarter and added another TD in the final period. Brady held the Yellowjackets to only 34 yards in total offense while amassing 144 yards. The Jackets were limited to a -2 yards rushing on 32 attempts. The Bulldogs gained 87 yards rushing on 25 carries. Jake Dodds got the Dogs’ first TD on a three yard run. Bryan Boyd ran for the two-point conversion. The second TD in the same period came on a 28-yard pass from Michael Land to Bodie Landes. The two-point attempt failed. Leading 14-0 entering the final quarter, the Doggies wrapped up the game on a five- yard run by Michael Cook. Land ran for the two points. Each team lost one fumble and Brady had the only pass interception. The Brady JV is open this week, but will be back in action on Oct. 9 when they host Ballinger in the first district game.
