2 pickups in collision, Angleton man dead

A two-vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon near the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 87 North and F.M. 3022 (Brady Lake road) left one man dead and two other people seriously injured. Patrick Ray Enfield, 42, of Angelton, was declared dead at the scene by McCulloch County Justice of the Peace Doris Bryson. Enfield was driving a 2003 Ford F350 dually pickup truck headed toward Brady on Hwy. 87 when a 2003 Dodge pickup driven by Heather McCall of Amarillo crossed into his lane of traffic and struck his vehicle. The impact caused the Ford truck to flip and come to rest upside down. According to Department of Public Safety trooper Sam Gonzalez, the right rear tire on Mrs. McCall’s pickup blew out causing her to lose control of her vehicle. Two passengers in Mrs. McCall’s vehicle were airlifted to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo after being transported to the Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital. Police reports indicated the passenger in the right front seat of the Dodge pickup was Casey McCall. He sustained two broken arms in the accident. A second passenger, Monica Muniz, received a compound fracture to one leg. The passenger in the vehicle driven by Enfield was Patricia Jackson also of Angleton. She was unhurt in the accident.
