Mr. and Mrs. Ed Carrithers of Brady are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Charmaine Carrithers, to Scott Towery, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Towery of Woodruff, S.C. Ms. Carrithers is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Fountain of Brady and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Carrithers, also of Brady. The bride-elect, a graduate of Brady High School, received a bachelor of arts degree from Texas A&M University and a doctorate of jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. She is currently employed at the law firm of Johnson, Burnett & Chang, L.L.P., in Houston. The prospective groom is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is currently employed with Mulberry Square, Enterprises, of Greenville, S.C. The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Oct. 25 in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico. They will make their home in Greenville, S.C.
