Cody Morgan, the 22-year-old City employee hurt in an accident two weeks ago, returned home from Scott and White Hospital in Temple last Friday. According to family members, Morgan will continue rehabilitation of a serious injury that crushed the bone in his leg above the ankle. Doctors are optimistic about recovery, but several more surgeries are expected over the coming months. “He was able to move around a little bit with the aid of a walker,” said his father-in-law Garland Roberts. “He is still in a lot of pain, but he and his wife, Mindy, are glad he is at least able to be at home. “The community has been very supportive and caring throughout this entire ordeal, and we want to thank everyone for their prayers, concern, phone calls and visits.” Morgan will continue weekly trips to San Angelo where doctors will clean the wound and closely monitor the recovery process.
