Andrew (Shorty) Hoffman, 85, of Brady, died Saturday, Sept. 20, in Brady. Under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, a graveside service with military honors was held Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Rev. Gaylon Morris officiating. He was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Addison, to Andy Lynn Hoffman and Hazel Leona (Young) Hoffman. A resident of the area since 1959, he was married to Dorothy (Tubbs) Hoffman. He was a farmer, a Baptist and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hoffman of Brady; two sons, Kenneth Hoffman and wife, Terri, of Cristoval and Bobby Hoffman and wife, Sharise, of San Angelo; five grandchildren, Erick Hoffman, Shannon Hoffman, Derrick Hoffman, Jillynn Jo Hoffman and Brittany Hoffman; and two great-grandchildren, Dalton Hoffman and Noah Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, three brothers and a sister. 23, at 10 a.m.
