Lois Striegler, 72, of Brady, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, in Pear Valley. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, Rev. Bill Camp officiating. Burial followed in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. She was born June 10, 1931, to Newell C. Stewart and May Dell (Baker) Stewart. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Lohn Baptist Church. A widowed homemaker, she loved living on her farm, traveling, quilting, sewing, crocheting and listening to gospel music. Survivors include four sons, Robert Striegler and wife, Susie, of Abilene, Wayne Striegler and wife, Donna, of Richardson, Joe Dale Striegler of Quinlan and Bardin Striegler of Melvin; two brothers, Hollis Stewart of Decatur and Vernon Wayne Stewart of Sulphur Springs; and seven grandchildren, Lindsey Striegler of Denton, Randy Horne of Fort Worth, Sam Striegler and Jessie Striegler, both of Abilene and Caley Striegler, Brandon Horne and Cody Striegler, all of Richardson. Preceding her in death were her parents; spouse; four brothers, N.C., Curtis, Earl and Arlie; and a sister, Mearl Blackwell.
