New barrels bring freshlook to Richards Park

Thirty 55-gallon barrels were recently donated to The Best for the Heart of Texas, the newly organized non-profit organization with aspirations to “clean-up” Brady and McCulloch County. Courtesy of Heartland Rig International, Inc. in Brady and through the assistance of plant operations manager, Omar Hilburn, the barrels were donated to the organization to be used for trash containers at Richards Park. Dan Moran with Dan’s Machine and Welding donated four gallons of green paint which gives the barrels their fresh new appearance. The N-Business Journal donated the labels which display the new logo designed by The Best for the Heart of Texas (BHOT) executive director and CEO of United Support Services Sheila Hemphill. “I hope that the logo will be adopted by the City of Brady and the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce,” said Mrs. Hemphill. “I’m very pleased to not only be able to get new barrels for Richards Park but to also furnish Willie Washington Park and the Mexican Colony with some new blue plastic barrels which were donated by Kenneth Young with Young’s Ready Mix. I am amazed how adding a few neat details, like trash barrels, can give the park an overall feeling of order and freshness.”
