The Catholic parishes of St. Patrick’s in Brady and St. Francis in Melvin are planning a ReNew 2003 Mission, with presentations for a deeper meaning in peoples lives, for meaningful relationships, for reconciliation and to make the world a better place. There will also be music, singing and food. ReNew Mission 2003 will kick off the first night on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. It will continue for three consecutive Sundays, Sept. 14, 21 and 28, at 7-8:30 p.m. The topics to be discussed include: Sept. 7′”Search for Meaning-Rediscovering God”; Sept. 14′”In Search of Meaningful Relationships-Reconcling our Differences”; Sept. 21′”Streng-thening Family Life and Supportive Relationships-Making a Difference in the Lives of Tomorrow’s Children” and Sept. 28′”Community for the 21st Century – Building a New World.” Many people of these churches have been coming together in the parishes to form small communities to share their lives and grow in a loving relationship with God and each other. There will be a sign up time for the small communities after each night’s presentations. Small communities will begin meeting the week of Oct. 5 to read scripture, to reflect on God and to share experiences of life. “Come see and help start the fire of ReNewing your life and the life of your church and community,” said a church spokesman. The public, regardless of denomination, is invited to attend one or all of the Mission nights.
