Austin’s Leo Stokes to open street dance

Leo Stokes, a Sellersburg, Indiana native, is making a name for himself on the Austin music scene and will be the opening act for Saturday night’s street dance featuring Kevin Fowler. After forming a partnership with Mark Heinich, a singer in the band Cheyenne, the singer has been working on releasing his first album due later this fall. “Leo and the band Cheyenne have already played several KVET sponsored events and have many more set for the near future,” said Pat Fogarty with Trespass Management. “The album ‘Touchy Situation’ is due late this fall and the band is ready to hit the ground running.” With a dream of performing country music live and on stage, Stokes has developed his own style which has been influenced by famous singers like George Strait, Willie Nelson and Asleep at the Wheel.
