Smoke, no fire at hospital alarm

On Monday evening at approximately 6 p.m., a compressor in the boiler room at the Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital ruptured a line spewing hydraulic oil onto a hot compressor. The resulting large amount of smoke had the Brady Fire Department respond with three trucks in anticipation of a potentially large fire. Upon investigation of the room, no flames were discovered and the smoke was caused by the oil on the hot compressor. No flames were present and no significant damage was reported.
