Eva B. Mireles, 67, of Brady, died Wednesday, Aug. 20 in San Angelo. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Father Colm Mulligan officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home. Rosary will precede the service on Friday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. She was born June 18, 1936, in Brady, to Santos and Trinidad (Hernandez) Barrera. She married Alfonso Mireles July 15, 1951, in Brady. She was a housewife and operated the Lion’s Den for 11 years. A member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, she enjoyed sewing of all kinds and gave away quilts and custom cookies. She is survived by her husband, Alfonso Mireles of Brady; three daughters, Gilda Zamarippa and her husband, Ronny, of San Angelo, Christi Mireles of Austin and Norma Roberts and husband, Steve, of Fort Worth; a son, Robert Mireles of Austin; two brothers, Joventino Barrera of Brady and Tony Barrera of San Angelo; a granddaughter, Kelsey Maria Roberts; two grandsons, Westin Reid and Collin Reece Zamarippa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
