Ronald McAnally, agriculture science teacher at Brady, received the 20-year tenure award at the annual Professional Development Conference for Agricultural Science and Technology Teachers of Texas, held in Wichita Falls, July 28-Aug. 1. Tenure awards are given by the Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association to agriculture science teachers who have dedicated themselves to teaching agriculture. McAnally has given 20 years of hard work and dedication to agricultural education and the VATAT. The distinguished honor was presented at the VATAT awards ceremony, Wednesday, July 30. In Texas, there is an estimated 1,500 agricultural science and technology teachers impacting more than 90,000 students enrolled in agricultural education classes at the secondary level. The Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas is headquartered in Austin and aims to improve agriculture by teaching.
