BISD to hold free computer training classes

Brady Independent School District will conduct four days of free computer training beginning Monday, June 30 at the Brady Middle School campus, just off the Menard Highway. Brady High School computer teacher Yvonne Cottrell will be the instructor for the event. Other dates scheduled are Wednesday, July 2, Monday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 9. The computer lab will be open from 4-6 p.m. for general use (a person doesn’t have to be a participant in the class to utilize this service), and a basic word-processing class will be conducted from 6-8 p.m. for those who register for the course. The class is limited to the first 22 people who register with Joy Young at 597-3583 or at jyoung@bisd.cen-tex-edu.net. This training is being provided by a TIF Community Network Grant awarded to Brady IDS and the Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital. Both the school district and hospital have teamed with Central Texas College to provide these classes free of charge to the public. “We plan to have several more classes throughout the summer,” said Mrs. Young. “Please watch for future announcements.”
