2 Brady cagers selected to represent regional team

Two Brady High School Bulldog basketball players were recently invited to try out for a traveling AAU team from West Texas. Both Cole Whisenhunt and C.J. Villegas were selected to be on the team. The team started 12 years ago to give area players a chance to be seen by college coaches and to get a lot of challenging experience on the basketball court. “Team Express” is coached by Tony Allen and T.J. Everitt from San Angelo. The team recently competed in an Odessa tournament and won all six games they played to bring home the championship trophy. They will also be competing in the Great American Shoot-out tournament with as many as 600 teams in College Station, Denton, Plano, Witchita Kansas, Nevada and possibly nationals in Arizona. Whisenhunt and Villegas will both be seniors at Brady High School in the fall.
